Leeds United striker Jay Roy-Grot has had a strong start on loan at VVV Venlo.
Grot’s departure was announced last week, with the young forward sent out on loan to the Dutch club for the season.
He is currently playing pre-season games for the Eredivisie club and has quickly found the scoresheet.
Grot has three goals in two games for Venlo as they sauntered to two easy victories.
He netted last night in a friendy win over SVEB, following up a brace against Veritas two days earlier.
The victories over the lower league opposition were expected, but finding the scoresheet is good for his confidence.
Grot seemed out of his depth at Leeds last season, scoring only once, and looked more comfortable playing for the under-23s.
These goals in pre-season will help his case for a starting spot when there Eredivisie kicks off next month.
