Andrew Dallas was back playing for Rangers’ reserves on Tuesday, two months after leaving Ibrox on loan.

Dallas was handed some much-needed minutes in a 2-2 draw – in which he also scored – for a patched-up Rangers side away at Burnley.

The striker’s loan club, Morton, are currently in the midst of a three-week spell without a game, while the Gers are without number of their second-string regulars due to international call-ups.

Several youngsters – notably Rangers’ 16-year-old January recruit, Nathan Young-Coombes – were also given run-outs at Burnley’s training ground.

However, Dallas is expected to return to Morton, for whom he has yet to score, ahead of the Championship side’s return to action this weekend.

The 19-year-old – who the Rangers manager, Steven Gerrard, has twice named on his bench this season – was fouled for the penalty he duly dispatched, with Nathan Patterson scoring the Gers’ other goal.
