One area where the Spaniard undoubtedly needs to strengthen is his goalkeeping department, with both Karl Darlow and Rob Elliot arguably not good enough for the Premier League.
The latter is also out injured now, so an addition of a top-class stopper will surely feature highly on Benitez’s wish-list.

Hart will be desperate for regular action during the second half of the Premier League campaign, what with the 2018 World Cup on the horizon, and he would surely jump at the chance to move to St James’ Park, if he was guaranteed to play week-in week-out.
