Giovani Lo Celso won’t be regretting his decision to leave Tottenham Hotspur one bit.
The Argentina internationa quit Tottenham to join Villarreal on a half-season loan during the January transfer window.
And considering he’s playing regularly and in the Champions League, well it’s probably fair to say that he’s loving life in Spain again.
And interestingly, Lo Celso could be gearing up to face his potential replacement at Spurs.
The Spanish outfit were drawn against Bayern Munich in the quarter final of the competition.
According to Bild in February, Tottenham are interested in bringing a certain Serge Gnabry to North London.
And if that’s legitimate, well the Lilywhites’ pair Antonio Conte and Fabio Paratici have twice as much reason to tune into watch Lo Celso.
It’d be a lot more interesting if Gnabry and the South American played in the same position, because it could be billed as Lo Celso facing his potential replacement, but the Germany international is a right-sided attacker.
And how Tottenham supporters would love him.
Remember, the former Arsenal youngster scored four goals against Mauricio Pochettino’s Spurs in the Champions League a few years ago.
Tottenham fans won’t have forgotten that and the prospect of him actually joining Conte’s outfit is very exciting from their perspective.
