Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has given his view on Christian Eriksen’s strongest asset.
Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris has revealed Christian Eriksen’s best asset.
The French shot stopper held a question and answer video session for fans and revealed that the Dane’s shots are the most difficult to stop in first team training at the club.
“He can really shoot. Sometimes you can read the shot and you can anticipate it a little bit, but with him it’s impossible because from the beginning of the movement to the end he gives no indication,” said Lloris.
The comments won’t be welcomed by the club’s trio of strikers; Emmanuel Adebayor, Roberto Soldado and Harry Kane who will lead the Spurs attack until January at the very least.
Eriksen started life at Spurs well last season before his form dipped slightly as he was moved out of position.
However, Mauricio Pochettino has used him centrally and it’s no surprise that he’s looked far more effective and efficient in that position, just behind the main strikers at the club.
His stats show that he’s yet to get off the mark in terms of assists this season, but consistent performances in the number ten role increase his chances of getting off the mark for the club in the near future.
