Hugo Lloris has told Football London that Harry Kane has a very good understanding of Antonio Conte’s system and that is helping get the best out of both the England skipper – and Tottenham as a team. They sit in fourth.
Kane, 28, failed to score for a third consecutive Premier League match on Sunday as Spurs eased past Aston Villa away from home to win 4-0. But what he did do, was lay on two excellent assists for his fellow attackers.
It sees Kane now sit on nine assists and 22 goals for the season – five of his nine assists have come in the last three Premier League matches. Spurs have won seven out of their last nine league games, leapfrogging Arsenal.
With seven games to play, Arsenal do have a game in hand as Spurs sit three clear. But that game in hand is away to Chelsea and Arsenal have to go to Spurs on May 12. Lloris has heaped praise in the direction of Kane.
“He understands very well the manager’s system. He understands very well his task and responsibilities. As you can see, he enjoys very much dropping [deep] to get the ball and making assists,” Lloris said.
“We know he can make the difference. He’s very dangerous. Whether he’s close to the goal or far from the goal, he can do everything and it’s a big skill. It’s a big help for the team when you have a player like him.”

Spurs are enjoying a brilliant end to the season and timing their momentum to perfection – buoyed by losses suffered by Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham over the course of the weekend.
But if Spurs are to maintain their position, then they need Kane to keep going – keep performing his best and if he is not scoring, then creating.
