Brendan Rodgers’ excellent track record with regards to bringing through young players certainly gives him an edge in the transfer market.
Patrick Roberts fought tooth and nail to return to Parkhead from Manchester City this summer on another loan deal after progressing hugely under Rodgers’ guidance last season.

“I was so excited and the fact that Brendan Rodgers was manager made me even more excited. It made me want to join Liverpool more than ever because of the way he has faith in young players,” Dhanda, the first ever Indian player to sign a professional contract with Liverpool, told the club’s official website when joining from West Brom in 2014.

At 18, Dhanda is still yet to make his breakthrough at Liverpool. He hasn’t even made his senior debut.
Though that could have changed already this season if The Reds had not rebuffed offers from Championship trio Leeds United, Bristol City and Nottingham Forest, as reported by The Mail.
With Celtic seemingly on the lookout for further creative talent amid links with St Mirren’s Lewis Morgan and Hibernian’s John McGinn, a reunion with Rodgers north of the border could be the making of the left-sided midfielder.
Just look at the developments made by Roberts since he arrived from Manchester City around a year-and-a-half ago. He evolved from a skinny youngster to a fearsome attacking force last season with 11 goals and 19 assists in all competitions.
Dhanda honing his trade alongside Rodgers would not only benefit player and club but Liverpool too.
