It will come as no surprise to those who have watched Liverpool over the last couple of years to know that Joe Gomez is destined to go right to the top, according to FM 2017. The versatile defender did not look out of place in the top flight before he sustained a long-term injury, and Jurgen Klopp will be hoping that he can return to that level once again upon his return to the first-team.

An injury has prevented the winger making any appearances for the Reds this season, but FM 2017 is confident that he has the talent to bounce back from the setback and make an impression for Klopp’s men in future. The 19-year-old was hugely impressive in the Championship last season on loan with Wolves so perhaps another loan spell may the best move for his development.
