Liverpool winger Sadio Mane is a former Southampton player.

Mane found the net in first-half injury time, as Liverpool got the better of the Saints 2-1 away from home at St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League on Saturday.
The 27-year-old winger was on the books of Southampton from the summer of 2014 until the summer of 2016 when he joined the Reds for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £34 million.
The Senegal international – who is now valued at €200 million (£182.34m) by the CIES Football Observatory – has said that he is sorry that he scored against Southampton, and has outlined his commitment to Liverpool now that he is playing for the Reds.
Mane told BBC Sport about scoring against Southampton: “I’m sorry it is against my old team and sorry I have to score but I’m wearing a Liverpool shirt now.
“Southampton was a very good step for me, I have big respect for this club. It is an amazing place.
“I learned a lot here and they are very nice people. But it is part of football and you have to deal with it.”
