Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster left Chelsea in 2014.

Liverpool striker Rhian Brewster has told Scouted Football that he is happy for his former Chelsea teammates having finally been given a chance to play.
The Blues had a transfer ban over the summer, and Frank Lampard has subsequently ushered in a youth movement at Stamford Bridge – and it’s paying dividends.
Fikayo Tomori, Mason Mount, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Tammy Abraham are regulars under new boss Lampard, whilst Reece James and Ruben Loftus-Cheek can step up this season too.
Chelsea are in fine form with these young players, sitting fourth in the Premier League table with four league wins in a row, with his youth movement a long time coming.
For many years now, Chelsea have invested heavily in their youth setup without seemingly having a plan to promote their prospects, because they have been in a win-first mentality, over developing youngsters.
Lampard has now been afforded the opportunity to develop the young talent at Stamford Bridge, but it may be tinged with a little sadness for those young players who have decided to leave Chelsea in recent years for opportunities elsewhere.
Eddie Nketiah quit for Arsenal in 2015, Declan Rice moved on to West Ham in 2014, Nathan Ake joined Bournemouth in 2017, Ola Aina has chosen Italy with Torino over staying with Chelsea and striker Brewster left Chelsea for Liverpool in 2014.

He looks to be a real prospect for the future at Liverpool, but he has now claimed that he’s ‘really happy’ for his former Chelsea teammates Mount and Hudson-Odoi having been given playing time at Chelsea, with no jealousy on his part.
“I played with Mase [Mason Mount], and I played with Cal [Hudson-Odoi],” said Brewster. “I’m really happy for all those guys,” he added.
Brewster also compared Lampard to Jurgen Klopp in terms of the way they will give first-team football to young players if they’re ready, and Brewster will hope to follow in the footsteps of Trent Alexander-Arnold in that regard, which may justify his decision trade Chelsea for Liverpool.
