Liverpool are reportedly keen on signing the Barcelona winger.

According to a report from the Sun, Liverpool are lining up an £85 million swoop for Barcelona winger Ousmane Dembele in January, and if Jürgen Klopp manages to bring the Frenchman to Anfield, it could turn out to be a signing of real significance for the Reds.
The 21-year-old joined Barca from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017, for a fee that could eventually rise to £135 million, but he hasn’t quite hit the heights that were expected of him when he arrived at the Camp Nou.
Dembele is undoubtedly one of the most exciting young talents in the game, however, and he would surely thrive under the management of Klopp, what with the German’s exceptional man-management skills.
Liverpool already have Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberton Firmino, and should they add the France international to their ranks, they would arguably have the scariest attacking line-up in world football.
The French winger can play anywhere along the front-line. He possesses blistering pace, and plays with a certain kind of directness that makes him ideally suited to Klopp’s intense, high-octane playing style.

Dembele’s potential arrival at Anfield would also provide Klopp with another option in the final third, and would make Liverpool far less predictable to play against.
In today’s day and age, £85 million for a player with the Barca ace’s quality actually represents decent value for money, and the Reds should not hesitate to bring the pacey winger to Merseyside in January.
