While Liverpool have made more signings of late to bolster the starting XI, there is still that vision for the future.
Liverpool were linked with a January move for FC Rostov forward Sardar Azmoun in a report from The Guardian last night.
Their report stated that the Reds have monitored the 21-year-old this season and will consider an offer when the transfer window opens.

There had been suggestions from Jürgen Klopp that Liverpool will look to bolster their attacking options in the winter after injury struck Danny Ings once again – ruling him out for the rest of the season.
Many will have heard Azmoun’s name and wondered why Liverpool are interested in him, a lot of the players the Reds have been linked with of late could be argued as either very young, or unknown. It seems to be the profile that Liverpool are going for – though there is a degree of pedigree in the case of Azmoun as he has featured in the Champions League this season.
Keen watchers of that competition will have seen him find the net in some style last week against Atletico Madrid.

Though very talented, because he is relatively unknown he may come cheaper than other players but if he keeps performing well then his price tag is only likely to rise. But he’s not entirely and unknown The Guardian‘s report has stated that both Everton and Stoke have shown signs of interest. His age suggests that he could be developed into a better player – something which current Liverpool boss seems to thrive in: training and development.
It seems as though Liverpool’s transfer dealings in the immediate future could be to improve the current squad before they have more of a role in the starting XI – much like the approach that the current ownership came to the club promising when they bought the club back in 2010.
Though there were signings made in the summer from Liverpool to have an immediate impact on the starting XI, there is still that sense of Liverpool looking to the future and bolstering the squad in the process with the transfer dealings.
