But, just like Luis Suarez before him, it appears the midfielder’s performances have caught the eye of Barcelona with numerous reports that the La Liga giants are planning a move.
So the last thing the Anfield faithful will want to see is their man adding fuel to that fire himself.
That’s exactly what’s happened, though, as Coutinho has been filmed by FourFourTwo naming current Barcelona trio Neymar, Lionel Messi and Suarez as the top three players in the world.
Overlooking the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Paul Pogba, Eden Hazard and several others, the Brazilian is quick to name the Nou Camp stars at the top of the pile.

Of course, this does not mean that Coutinho is heading to the Nou Camp in any shape or form. A lot of expensive hurdles will have to be jumped before that happens.
