The Liverpool loanee scored a big goal for Hertha in August.
On-loan Liverpool player Marko Grujic has seen his form rewarded with his club’s Goal of the Month award.
The Serbian midfielder earned the honour after scoring in Hertha Berlin’s 2-2 draw away to Bayern Munich in August.
Grujic, who was Jurgen Klopp’s first signing at Liverpool, latched on to an over-the-top ball before rounding Manuel Neuer and tapping into an empty net.
If it sounds like a relatively average goal it’s probably because, well, it is.
But Hertha only scored twice during the month of August, meaning that the Liverpool loanee only had competition from Dodi Lukebakio, who scored in the same game.
Nevertheless, it might be a confident boost for a player who has struggled to make the grade at Liverpool.
The 23-year-old has played less than an hour of Premier League football under Klopp since arriving at Anfield three and a half years ago.
This is his second successive loan spell with Hertha in the Bundesliga, having netted five league goals in 20 starts last season.
