Liverpool midfielder Lucas has reacted angrily to a journalist on Twitter over a report that suggests the Brazilian would be staying at the club after having a transfer knocked back.
James Pearce of the Liverpool Echo tweeted a piece that claims the Reds are keen to send Mamadou Sakho out on loan for regular football after overcoming his injury hell, but that Lucas would not be allowed to leave Liverpool despite failing to force himself into the first team plans of Jurgen Klopp.

The 29-year-old was the subject of a bid from Galatasaray last month, but Klopp is reported to have blocked any departure from Merseyside due to concerns over first team fitness issues.
And Lucas clearly took offence at Peace’s report, taking to Twitter to hit back at the journalist over his claims about his future.
@JamesPearceEcho can you have more responsibility when you involve my name?
You putting me against the fans for something I’ve nothing to do

Lucas has just one year remaining on his contract but is expected to leave Liverpool after failing to nail down a regular spot in the starting XI.
Signed by Rafael Benitez in 2007, the defensive midfielder has made over 300 appearances for the club but has not featured in any of Liverpool’s games in the Premier League so far this season.
Klopp is thought to have prevented Lucas from leaving the club due to his versatility at centre back, with Joel Matip, Dejan Lovren and Ragnar Klavan the German’s other options in central defence should he choose to allow Sakho to leave the club.
