The Liverpool ace used to be a team-mate of the Tottenham Hotspur star.
Liverpool midfielder Kevin Stewart has told the Liverpool Echo that Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane is a prime example of how quickly a player can go from relative obscurity into one of the world’s finest footballers.
This time two years, Kane was a merely a squad player with potential, but fast forward to present day and the Spurs hitman is one of the most lethal strikers in Europe.
The Spurs academy graduate fired no fewer than 61 goals in all competitions in his first two full seasons with the North Londoners, having previously had loan spells with Leyton Orient, Millwall, Norwich and Leicester City.

Just as Kane was about to explode on to the scene under Mauricio Pochettino, Stewart was signed by Liverpool on a Bosman following his release from Tottenham after three years with the Lilywhites.
Indeed, Stewart played and trained alongside Kane at Tottenham, and the 22-year-old says that the England marksman is a role model for many players who dream of making it big.
“He was the year above, and we played together a lot,” he said to the Liverpool Echo. “It gives you belief when you see other players doing it, that no matter where you are right now you can still do it. It is possible.
“People like Harry, they show how quickly football can change. One minute you’re on loan in the Championship, and the next you are doing what he’s doing. It gives you belief to not give up, even when you don’t see yourself in the first team squad.”
Things have worked out well for Stewart since leaving Spurs. He signed a four-year contract under Jurgen Klopp after making 11 senior appearances last term.
