Mario Gotze admitted an interest in Liverpool today, and Jurgen Klopp is clearly a fan.

Mario Gotze admitted on Saturday that he may be willing to reunite with Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool.
The 26-year-old rose to prominence under Klopp at Borussia Dortmund, and the Germany international, who scored a World Cup-winning goal in 2014, has since proven himself an exceptional playmaker.
Gotze said via Goal.com: “I decided to leave Bayern and Jurgen Klopp was interested in getting me to Liverpool. And I was also interested in working with him again.
“It’s still existing. He is a world-class coach and that’s why it’s always an option. I decided to join Borussia Dortmund, but it was not a decision against Liverpool or Jurgen Klopp. But on the contrary.”

The Bayern Munich star is clearly a big fan of Klopp and, if comments from 2016 are anything to go by, the feeling is certainly mutual.
Speaking to The Liverpool Echo two years ago, the Liverpool boss, who was linked with his former protege at the time that Gotze was a player with “extraordinary abilities”.
It might be a match made in heaven, but is it too late?
Liverpool are widely believed to be on the brink of signing Nabil Fekir [The Independent] from Lyon, who operates in a similar role as Gotze, so there would be little reason to bring both to Anfield.
