Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga was over-worked as his side took on Liverpool yesterday.

Spurs were beaten 2-1 by Liverpool at Anfield yesterday, in a match were they were forced to defend regularly.
Tottenham were camped inside their own half for a lot of the contest, but they did manage to frustrate Liverpool at times.
Harry Kane scored early for Spurs, and Mauricio Pochettino’s side then looked to sit back and soak up the pressure.
Spurs relied on Gazzaniga to pull off some excellent saves, as they looked to protect their lead.
And although the Argentine stopper was ultimately beaten twice, Klopp was still very impressed by his display.
“The goalie of Tottenham, I’m not sure if he got man of the match, but what a performance he had. Unbelievable, the saves he made,” Klopp said.

Gazzaniga has been given his chance at Spurs due to an injury to Hugo Lloris, but if he keeps performing to this standard then he could present Pochettino with a selection dilemma when the Frenchman is back fit.
Gazzaniga will be hoping to have less work to do in Tottenham’s next match, though, as the Lilywhites look to get back to winning ways.
Spurs are currently in 11th place in the Premier League table, after taking just 12 points from 10 games so far.
