As we hit Day 10 of the January transfer window, Liverpool still haven’t added anyone to their senior squad.

It’s already been reported that teenage centre-back Ifeanyi Ndukwe will be joining the Reds once the 2025/26 season wraps up.

In addition, reports indicate that Mor Ndiaye is also set to join Liverpool alongside Ndukwe.

While those moves help strengthen Liverpool’s defensive options for the future, supporters are still hoping to see some immediate additions to the first team before the window closes. With that in mind, here is all the latest transfer news and rumours coming out of Liverpool ahead of the weekend.

Marc Guehi not expected to move to Liverpool this January

The Marc Guehi transfer story has been rumbling on since the summer window.

More recently, Manchester City were linked with him due to injuries piling up in Pep Guardiola’s squad.

Then, on Thursday afternoon, reports suggested Arsenal could be interested in a £40m move for the defender.

But according to David Ornstein, both Arsenal and Liverpool are now likely to wait until the summer before making any moves for him.

Man City, meanwhile, are said to be keen on wrapping up a deal before the early February deadline.

Mohamed Salah’s Liverpool future still up in the air

Mohamed Salah is currently with Egypt at the Africa Cup of Nations, and is due to play against Ivory Coast on 10 January.

Salah’s name hasn’t featured as heavily in recent transfer chatter, especially since he joined up with his national team. Previous reports had indicated a possible exit in the summer of 2026.

Earlier this week, an update from Italy claimed that Liverpool are still waiting for word from Salah on whether he plans to stay through the end of the 2025/26 campaign.

If he does remain, there’s talk that another player might be allowed to leave before the window closes this month.

Federico Chiesa linked with January exit as Juventus step up interest

Federico Chiesa has been linked with a move back to Juventus, and the rumours haven’t slowed down.

According to reports from Italy, Juve are preparing to offer Liverpool a loan deal that would include an obligation to buy if certain conditions are met.

Liverpool, on the other hand, are reportedly only interested in a permanent sale if Chiesa is to leave this month.

It’s also been reported that Chiesa has reached out to several former teammates, including Vlahovic, Locatelli and Gatti. All three have strong ties to his past at Juventus.
