James Milner has opened the door to join Celtic or Rangers in the future.

Liverpool midfielder James Milner has told The Herald that he could never say never about heading to Scotland with Celtic or Rangers in the future.
When the Reds snapped up Milner on a free transfer from Manchester City in the summer of 2015, many mocked Liverpool as rivals Manchester United were paying big money for the likes of Memphis Depay and Bastian Schweinsteiger insead.
However, Liverpool have been the big winners, as Milner remains with Liverpool to this day, and he has enjoyed a superb start to the season under Jurgen Klopp.
Milner has nailed down a spot in the Liverpool midfield alongside Naby Keita and Georginio Wijnaldum, and continues to be a fine servant for the club having also featured as a left back under Klopp too.
Milner’s contract with the Reds ends next summer, and whilst he won’t be fretting about his situation just yet, some are wondering what beckons for the 32-year-old in the near future.
Leeds fans are desperate for Milner to head back to Elland Road, but he has now been asked whether he would be keen on a move to Scotland.

Milner has been asked by the Herald, and stated; “I would never say never. You never know what is going to happen.”
The door appears to be open for Milner to head to Scotland at some point, and he does have links to Celtic and Rangers, given that Brendan Rodgers and Steven Gerrard are in charge respectively.
Milner was signed by Rodgers at Liverpool and played alongside Gerrard for both England and Liverpool, meaning both managers may have one eye on his comments this week.
