Liverpool midfielder James Milner comments on Celtic boss Brendan Rodgers and Glasgow Rangers manager Steven Gerrard.

Former Liverpool manager Rodgers was appointed the Celtic boss in the summer of 2016, and he has done a truly great job.
The Glasgow giants have won the domestic treble for the past two seasons and have also featured in the group stage of the Champions League for the past two campaigns.
Milner – who earns £140,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – worked with Rodgers at Liverpool for a short period of time, and the former England international, who can operate as a midfielder, winger or full-back, has given his verdict on the work Rodgers has done at Celtic so far.
The former Leeds United and Newcastle United star has also commented on Rangers’ decision to appoint his former Liverpool teammate Steven Gerrard as the manager.

Milner told The Daily Mail about Rodgers: “I am not surprised he’s done a great job at Celtic and his stock has gone up immensely.
“People can talk it down as Celtic have been dominant but to perform like that consistently is a great achievement, particularly to win the six domestic trophies.
“That takes some doing no matter what level you are playing at. You have to admire the hunger to keep doing it, keep turning up ready to win.”
Milner added about Gerrard: “He has so much experience. I saw bits of how he coached in his role at Liverpool and that was interesting but it is going to be even more interesting to see how he gets on at Ibrox.
“Rangers are a big club and there must be an excitement around the blue half of Glasgow. I am sure it is good for the game in Scotland, too. It is going to be exciting.”
Legend at Celtic
What Rodgers has done at Celtic in two seasons is nothing short of legendary, and there is no doubt that the former Liverpool and Swansea City manager already has that status at the Glasgow giants.
The Hoops will be aiming to win the Scottish Premiership, the Scottish League Cup and the Scottish Cup again next season, while Rangers will be looking to challenge them for the league title.
