Liverpool winger Harry Wilson stated on Instagram that it was a ‘tough game’ for Wales during their World Cup qualifier defeat to Belgium on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old opened the scoring for his country after a well-worked team goal resulted in Gareth Bale feeding the Liverpool man who slotted home first time.
Despite the defeat, it was an impressive display from the Welsh and a number of their star players, including Wilson.
If they weren’t competing up against the world’s best team then things might have been a lot different for Rob Page’s men.

Wilson is currently on-loan at Cardiff City after his struggles with relegated Bournemouth last season.
The versatile attacker had a number of chances to break into Liverpool’s side but it seems, at 24-years-old, he will be heading for the exit door sooner rather than later.
The aim from the dead-ball specialist will be to earn regular minutes for a Premier League team and with Cardiff just hovering outside of those playoff spots then he will be hoping it comes via Mick McCarthy’s side.
