Taking a closer look at the Liverpool right-back’s contribution on Sunday.
Liverpool saw their hopes of a top-four finish all but ended on Sunday, when Brendan Rodgers’ side could only draw 1-1 with newly-crowned Premier League champions Chelsea.
The result means Liverpool are six points behind fourth-placed Manchester United with two games remaining and Louis van Gaal’s side having a considerably better goal-difference.
Some stars may be playing for their Liverpool futures in the remaining two matches, while others will be hoping to begin long careers and a few will already know they are on their way.
That can be said for right-back Glen Johnson, whose Liverpool contract expires this summer and with talks reportedly held with his former club West Ham United according to a report from the Sunday People.

And given how Johnson performed on Sunday, it seems the time is right for him to move on. After all, the Liverpool defender did little while featuring at left-back for the Reds at the weekend.
His first-half performance was particularly poor, with little to show for his efforts aside from a single tackle.
In the second half he fared slightly better, but at the final whistle he had won just one tackle and two aerial battles, and had failed to win a single interception or provide one accurate cross.
He also lost possession on 10 occasions, suggesting that if his time really is coming to an end at Anfield, it is probably the best option for both parties.
