Divock Origi has quickly squashed rumours of a January transfer to Italian giants Juventus, in comments appearing in the Liverpool Echo, as the striker concentrates on his Liverpool future.

The Belgian striker was linked with a winter switch to the Serie A champions, due to his lack of game time, but he has reacted quickly dismiss such a transfer.

When asked about a possible move to Juventus Origi, as reported by an earlier Echo story, the forward explained: “I have not heard of those rumours. It is a rumour, as there are many. No, I am concentrating fully on Liverpool and the Belgian national team.”

The 21-year-old is yet to start a Premier League fixture this season and his only starts of the campaign have come in the EFL Cup, leading to some uncertainty about his future.

Belgian international Origi, who has 21 caps and three goals to his name, joined Liverpool in the summer of 2014 from Lille, before being sent back out on loan to the French club.

The forward scored 10 goals last season in 33 appearances for the Anfield side, but has found chances hard to come by after Jurgen Klopp side’s strong start to the campaign which sees them sitting in fourth place in the table going into the international break.

Origi is currently further down the pecking order than fellow forwards Sadio Mane, Adam Lallana, Roberto Firmino, Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge.
