Wolverhampton Wanderers are said to have targeted Liverpool forward Divock Origi this summer.

Wolverhampton Wanderers missing out on Divock Origi has to be classed as a blow, as he could really have helped their team improve this season.

The Liverpool front man was on Nuno’s radar earlier this season, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, but rejected the chance to move to Molineux.

And that should be classed as a blow for Wolves, as he could really have enhanced their attacking threat this season.

Wolves brought in Raul Jimenez, and the Mexican striker has shown signs of promise already.

But Origi would have offered them a different type of forward option this season, and could have increased their threat.

The Belgian is blessed with more pace and mobility than Jimenez, so he would have been able to stretch defences with more ease.

And Wolves may look back on missing out on Origi as a blow, as he could have helped Nuno’s side establish themselves as a Premier League club this season.
