Should Wolverhampton Wanderers make a swoop for the Liverpool frontman?

These must be exciting times to be a Wolves fan, with many backing Nuno Espirito Santo’s men to take the Premier League by storm this season, following their wonderful Championship campaign last term.
Nuno will obviously have to add some genuine quality to his ranks at Molineux this summer, and one area in need of particular attention is his centre-forward department, with the addition of an established striker an absolute must.
Wolves bought Benik Afobe earlier this month, and then strangely sanctioned his exit to Stoke City just days later, and with a gaping hole in their forward line, Nuno needs to start identifying some transfer targets.

One option for them could be Liverpool’s Danny Ings, who could be leaving Anfield this summer, according to a report from the Independent, but is he good enough for Wolves, or should they be aiming higher?
The 25-year-old striker is very talented, of that there is no doubt, but his trouble with injuries during his time at Merseyside should serve as a warning to any potential suitors for his signature.
He has made just six Premier League starts for the Reds, since moving to Anfield on a free transfer from Burnley in the summer of 2015, and that statistic should be a real concern.

Having said all of that, Wolves might just be able to pick him up for a bargain, and if he could find a way of maintaining his fitness, he might just prove to be a real coup for the Black Country outfit.
Ings has proven that he can score goals on a consistent basis during his spell with Burnley, and perhaps it would be worthwhile for Nuno to take a punt on the 25-year-old hitman this summer.
It might just turn out to be a masterstroke.
