Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge has told The Daily Mail that his loan spell at West Bromwich Albion helped him grow.

Sturridge joined West Brom on loan from Liverpool in the January transfer window and was expected to be a success The Hawthorns for the second half of the season.

The former Chelsea and Manchester City striker, though, struggled with injuries during his time at West Brom.

According to WhoScored, the England international striker made five starts and four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Baggies, scoring two goals and providing one assist in the process.

The 28-year-old striker – who earns £120,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – has spoken positively about his loan spell at West Brom.

Sturridge told The Daily Mail: “I don’t regret anything. The experience made me grow as a person. That is what it is all about. Evolving as a man, as a footballer.”

Future at Liverpool

According to The Daily Mail, Sturridge still has a year left on his current contract at Liverpool.

The Englishman is going to find it hard to establish himself in the Reds’ starting lineup due to competition for places, but there is no doubt that he will be an asset to manager Jurgen Klopp at Anfield.
