Liverpool ace has outperformed Everton attacker in half the time.

It is fair to say Everton attacker Gylfi Sigurdsson has not had the desired impact at Goodison Park so far.
And his struggles to make a positive impression are only highlighted by the superior displays of Liverpool rival Coutinho.
Last season at Swansea, Sigurdsson provided more assists than Coutinho did at Liverpool. This season he is being thoroughly outplayed by the Reds ace.

Coutinho missed the early part of the season as links with Barcelona caused a distraction which threatened his future at the club.
The Brazilian is now back on form and starring for the Reds.
In half the time he is totally outclassing Sigurdsson, bettering or equalling him in every major category.
| Season | Passing Accuracy | Won Tackles | Key Passes | Crossing Accuracy | Dribbles | Shots On Target | Assists | Goals | Appearances | Mins Played | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Philippe Coutinho | 2017-2018 | 83% | 7 | 14 | 36% | 10 | 3 | 1 | 2 | 3 | 247 |
| Gylfi Sigurdsson | 2017-2018 | 81% | 3 | 14 | 22% | 4 | 2 | 0 | 0 | 6 | 479 |
It could be argued that given the disparity between the prices Everton paid for Sigurdsson and the fee Liverpool rejected from Barcelona, that this difference could be expected.
But the difference would surely be expected with the same amount of games played, rather than with Coutinho played 50 per cent less.
Coutinho’s figures make the Everton man’s output look embarrassing, for both he and manager Ronald Koeman.
