Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has praised Scotland teammate Scott McTominay.

Liverpool defender Andrew Robertson has told the Daily Mail that he thinks Manchester United midfielder Scott McTominay has been ‘excellent’ all season.
The Reds are back in action this weekend following the international break, and they face a huge game as they travel to Old Trafford to take on United.
It’s always a big game when Liverpool and United meet, but the two teams are in very different places right now, with Liverpool top of the table without dropping a single point so far.
Conversely, United sit 12th in the Premier League table, and have picked up just one point in their last three league games, losing at Newcastle United last time out.
Few are really giving United a chance of picking up a win, especially with David De Gea and Paul Pogba out, but Robertson has managed to praise one United player.
Over the international break, Robertson was away with Scotland, meaning he playing alongside United midfielder McTominay, and in just a few days they’ll be playing against each other.

Robertson has admitted that there was a bit of banter with McTominay during their stint with Scotland, but praised him for being ‘fantastic’ against San Marino.
The Liverpool left back added that McTominay has been ‘excellent’ in a struggling United side this term, believing he has carried himself well all season – but now hopes the midfielder is on the losing side on Sunday.
“There was a wee bit of banter with Scott during Scotland duty, just a wee bit! Not much, honest,” said Robertson. “I thought he was fantastic for us against San Marino. And he’s been excellent all season in a United team that has had its critics. I think he’s carried himself very well. I’ll be looking forward to facing him on Sunday. Obviously I hope to come out on top,” he added.
