Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain joined Liverpool from Arsenal in the summer of 2017.

Liverpool midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain seems to have taken a dig at Arsenal fans, as quoted in The Mirror.

Oxlade-Chamberlain is on the sidelines at the moment, as the former Southampton star is recovering from a knee injury.

The 25-year-old midfielder – who joined Liverpool from Premier League rivals Arsenal in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £35 million – damaged his anterior cruciate ligament in April 2018.

The midfielder scored three goals and provided seven assists in 1485 minutes of Premier League football for the Reds last season, according to WhoScored.

The England international has praised the Liverpool fans for their support during his spell on the sidelines.

Oxlade-Chamberlain also seems to have a dig at Arsenal supporters for being impatient with him when he had injury issues during his spell at the North London outfit.

The 25-year-old – who earns £90,000 per week as salary, according to Spotrac.com – was on the books of Arsenal from the summer of 2011 until the summer of 2017.

Oxlade-Chamberlain told The Mirror: “I’ve had injuries in the past where it’s been difficult because pressure from fans has been ‘he’s injured again’ or ‘we can’t trust him he’s always injured’.

“But I’ve got injured here and I’ve had nothing but positive feedback from the fans, which for me I can’t thank them enough and that’s what keeps me going every day to try and reward their patience and support.”
