Liverpool want Zeno Debast and the teenager has been rewarded for his fine Anderlecht form with a spot in Belgium’s World Cup squad.

The Reds need first-team additions in 2023 but they are always looking for young talent too.

That was on show in the summer as Fabio Carvalho, Ben Doak, Calvin Ramsay and Trent Kone-Doherty all arrived.

Liverpool are likely to want more young players in the coming transfer windows and they appear to have other youngsters in mind.

Liverpool want Zeno Debast

One of them is young Belgian talent Zeno Debast.

The 19-year-old has been coming through the famed Anderlecht ranks, just like Romelu Lukaku and Youri Tielemans before him.

Debast has managed 31 first-team appearances for Anderlecht and has already picked up two caps for the Belgian national team.

Debast has caught the eye of Roberto Martinez at young age and Liverpool appear to have joined in with the admiration.

90Min claim that Liverpool are interested in signing Debast having been impressed with his performances this season.

Scout reports on Debast have been ‘excellent’ and Liverpool could make a move to sign the youngster.

Branded ‘the new Vincent Kompany’, Debast looks to be an exciting prospect and he has received huge news today.

Debast has been called up to the Belgium squad for the World Cup in Qatar, putting him in contention for action on the biggest stage.

Experienced duo Toby Alderweireld and Jan Vertonghen are included too whilst Wout Faes and Arthur Theate are on board too.

That means Debast may not even kick a ball in Qatar but his inclusion just goes to show his enormous potential.

Liverpool will no doubt continue to keep track of Debast and if he somehow shines at the World Cup, the Reds may need to repeat the Luis Diaz trick – move in to sign him before anybody else does in the summer.
