Liverpool want Yunus Musah and have now made contact with the Valencia midfielder’s representatives ahead of a possible bid in 2023.
The Reds will surely retool their somewhat creaking and stale midfield ranks.
Naby Keita, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and James Milner are all out of contract at the end of the season and could leave.
Arthur Melo’s loan surely won’t be made permanent whilst Jordan Henderson and Thiago are both in their 30’s.
The time is right for Liverpool to re-tool their midfield and bring in some new energy for Jurgen Klopp.

Liverpool want Yunus Musah
The main name in the frame is of course Jude Bellingham, but Liverpool need other targets in mind – not only as alternatives to Bellingham but as potential other additions to boost the midfield ranks.
90Min now claim that Liverpool are interested in signing Valencia midfielder Yunus Musah.
It’s stated that Liverpool have made contact with Musah’s representatives to communicate their interest in signing the American.
Chelsea have taken a similar approach with Musah whilst Arsenal – the club Musah left in 2019 – are keeping close tabs on him.
Valencia understandably want to keep Musah and have now opened talks over a new contract.
Musah, 20, was born in the United States to Ghanaian parents before moving to Italy and England, meaning he actually qualifies for all four countries.
Musah spent seven years in the Arsenal ranks before leaving for Valencia in 2019.
The midfielder made rapid progress and has already played more than 80 first-team games for Valencia.
Musah also has 23 caps for the United States at international level and started all four of their games at the World Cup in Qatar.
Hailed as ‘spectacular’ for his performance for USA against England, Musah appears to be a talent on the rise.
Liverpool are now interested in bringing Musah to Anfield and such a move would surely leave Arsenal feeling sick having lost him a few years ago.
