Tottenham are reportedly look at signing Lazio ace Sergej Milinkovic-Savic – and Liverpool can help them, by selling Takumi Minamino. Reports emerged this week that Lazio are looking at a move for the Japanese star.

Milinkovic-Savic, 27, has been in stunning form for Lazio once again. Clocking up 46 appearances this term, he has had a hand in 23 goals from the middle of the park. The Serbia ace has a contract at Lazio until 2024.

But Maurizio Sarri, the ex-Chelsea boss now in charge at Lazio, says his future is in doubt. He says that if Milinkovic-Savic does leave, which is a possibility this summer, it will be to a club not in Serie A.

Tottenham are keen, with a fee of £67.5million required. Lazio will obviously want a replacement before they cash in on their most-prized asset, and Liverpool can give them that – in the form of Minamino.

Liverpool ace Minamino helps Tottenham get Milinkovic-Savic

Corriere Dello Sport claim this week that Lazio want to bring in Minamino. Also 27, the Japan star has emerged as a possible signing – after Lazio struck a deal with Asian-founded Crypto currency business Binance.

The report claims that following the new shirt-sponsorship deal, Lazio will look to increase commerce in Asia and Minamino has been targeted to help them do that. He is also a possible replacement for Milinkovic-Savic.

Minamino has been excellent when given a chance this season – although sparse. It was his first Premier League start on Tuesday night, in which he scored in a 2-1 win over Southampton. He has 10 in all competitions.

If Liverpool are willing to sanction a move for Minamino, then surely it helps Tottenham in their pursuit of Milinkovic-Savic, come the summer.
