Gareth Bale is being linked with a stunning move to Liverpool.

Liverpool didn’t win the Premier League this past season, but using the F word – failure – wouldn’t do their year justice.
Jurgen Klopp’s side lost just the one league game all season and yet still finished one point behind Pep Guardiola’s all-conquering Manchester City, who won the domestic treble.
It seems a tough ask for the Liverpool manager to improve this team enough to go one better than Guardiola next season.
But if one transfer rumour is true, City will be worried – and rightly so.
According to Spanish outlet Ok Diario, Real Madrid’s Gareth Bale is ‘very likely’ to end up with the Reds or Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
And if it’s Liverpool then City won’t be able to stop them. Think about it: Klopp’s side already scored 89 Premier League goals last season, so adding Bale into the mix could, in theory, make them unstoppable.
The obvious question is where the Welshman would fit in Klopp’s best XI, but a three-pronged attack with Mo Salah as the spearhead, in between Sadio Mane and Bale, could be ridiculous. And then there’s Roberto Firmino, who could potentially operate as a number 10 behind that star-studded trident.
Bale to Liverpool could be an early example of what Silly Season promises to churns out over the summer months, but if it isn’t then Guardiola should be worried.
