Liverpool could make a move for Wolverhampton Wanderers ace Ruben Neves in an attempt to beat Newcastle United to his signature.
That’s according to The Mirror, who claim that Liverpool are now weighing up a move to bring Neves to Anfield.
Jurgen Klopp is understood to be a big admirer of Neves and the Reds may now seize their opportunity to go and get him.
Neves has entered the final 18 months of his contract and Liverpool may well believe that there is a deal to be done.
Wolves wanted £70million once upon a time but Liverpool may now feel confident that they can get an agreement in place for much less.
Newcastle United are also thought to be interested in Neves but they are only looking at him for a summer move.
Liverpool may now need to make their move this month and try to get Neves snapped up before Newcastle’s plans can come to fruition.

The prospect of a reunion may well appeal to Neves but whether Wolves would actually sell in the final two weeks of the transfer window remains to be seen.
