Ojo was given several first team opportunities during the second half of last season.
Liverpool winger Sheyi Ojo has taken his next step on his return from a stress fracture to his back, the Liverpool Echo reports, as he has returned to light training.
Ojo was last seen in a Liverpool shirt during the pre-season tour of the United States, where he scored in the 2-1 defeat to Roma.

The Echo reports the 19-year-old was recalled from a loan spell at Wolverhampton Wanderers midway through last season and was given several opportunities in the Reds’ first team.
He scored his first goal in the FA Cup third round win over Exeter City, and made a total of 11 appearances last season – four of them starts.

Ojo caused a fair amount of excitement with what he had to offer last season, and could provide another option out wide with his pace – which could be useful when fixtures are starting to get that bit more congested – especially if Liverpool reach the semi-finals of the EFL Cup – and when Sadio Mane is expected to be called up to the African Cup of Nations in January for Senegal.
One would expect Ojo to feature in a couple of games for the under-23 side before he is considered for first team action, but it’s a welcome development for both the player and the side that he is getting closer to being available for selection once again.
