Liverpool winger Xherdan Shaqiri has wished Albian Ajeti the best of luck on Instagram after the striker joined Celtic from West Ham United.

Celtic have signed Ajeti from Premier League club West Ham in the summer transfer window.

As reported by BBC Sport, the Scottish Premiership giants have paid the Hammers £4.5 million in transfer fees to secure the services of the Switzerland international striker on a four-year contract.

Shaqiri plays with the 23-year-old striker for the Switzerland national football team, and the Liverpool winger has wished his compatriot the best of luck at his new club Celtic.

West Ham attacking midfielder Manuel Lanzini and former Celtic player Saidy Janko have also responded to Ajeti’s post on Instagram.

Lanzini responded: “All the best my friend”

Shaqiri replied: “Good luck brudi”

Janko responded: “hail hail geile typ”

Good signing for Celtic?

Celtic needed a striker who would make their attacking lineup better and give manager Neil Lennon more options, as the Hoops aim to make it 10 Scottish Premiership titles in a row in 2020-21.

True, Odsonne Edouard is going to be the first-choice striker at the Glasgow giants for the time being, but with Leigh Griffiths not always at his best, Lennon will now be able to call upon Ajeti.
