Liverpool are willing to sell Lazar Markovic at a knockdown price.
According to The Mirror, Liverpool are ready to sell Lazar Markovic for £12 million, a loss on the £20 million they paid Benfica in 2014.
It hasn’t worked out at Anfield for the Serbian, who came into the club with the same fanfare Mohamed Salah is currently attracting.
Brendan Rodgers could not work out how to get the best out of him and Jurgen Klopp simply sent him out on a succession of loan deals, with a clean break now needed.

Markovic is still only 23-years-old and is the type of talent Mauricio Pochettino’s Tottenham should be trying to add, and revive into the top star he was touted to become.
The attacking midfielder was a key part of the Benfica team which ripped Tim Sherwood’s Spurs to shreds at White Hart Lane in the Europa League in 2014.

Markovic would provide cover for the injured Erik Lamela, and his dribbling ability could see him flourish on the larger Wembley pitch.
His most recent spell was on loan at Hull City and after struggling initially, he began to make an impact, scoring in wins over Watford and Middlesbrough.
The Mirror’s report claims Liverpool are to offer Markovic to Watford, and it may be that a team as highly placed as Tottenham simply consider Markovic not worth a place in their squad, but there is clearly untapped potential there.
At a knock down fee one team is going to take a gamble and Tottenham’s coaching could help the Serbian get his career back on track.
