If Stoke do sign Benik Afobe then should Wolverhampton Wanderers turn their attention to Daniel Sturridge, who Liverpool are reportedly ready to sell?

In a somewhat bizarre turn of events, the BBC reports that Benik Afobe will be sold to Stoke City just days after joining Wolverhampton Wanderers permanently from Bournemouth.
Afobe spent the latter half of the 2017/18 season on loan at Molineux and scored six goals in 16 appearances, leading the West Midlands club to activate a clause to re-sign the striker for £10m.

Yet Stoke, who have been recently relegated to the Championship, are now expected to land the 25-year-old themselves for £12m.
Who will replace him?
Wolves, who are preparing for life in the Premier League following promotion, are likely to need support upfront with the Express and Star reporting that Leo Bonatini will return to Al-Hilal after it was decided not to make the move permanent following his loan spell.
This leaves January signing Rafael Mir and youngster Bright Enobakhare as the only first team options in the position, so should manager Nuno Espirito Santo take a chance by acquiring an experienced forward from the top flight that has just become available?

Goal reports that Daniel Sturridge is likely to be sold by Liverpool this summer having fallen down the pecking order under Jurgen Klopp and sent on loan to West Bromwich Albion for the latter part of the last campaign as a result.
Sturridge’s injury history could be a concern, but with 75 Premier League goals in 200 appearances the 28-year-old is also a proven figure in the division.
