Paris Saint-Germain have joined Liverpool in the race to sign Alexander Isak.
Reports emanating from Italy today claim that Liverpool will face stiff competition from Paris Saint-Germain in their pursuit of Swedish teenage prodigy Alexander Isak, according to Italian media outlet CalcioMercato.
The 17-year-old currently plies his trade with Swedish outfit AIK, and has been in sparkling for of late, scoring six goals in his last seven outings.
Unai Emery reportedly wants to bring Isak to PSG
The report from CalcioMercato claim that French Ligue 1 champions PSG are prepared to offer €10 million (£8.6 million) for the striker, but his club will not accept anything less than €15 million (£12.9 million) for their prized asset.
Liverpool manager Jürgen Klopp
Isak is one of the most highly sought after players on the continent, and he would seem to be a typical signing for Reds boss Jürgen Klopp, who is renowned for buying unpolished diamonds and developing them into world beaters.
With PSG’s interest being reported though, the Merseyside outfit will now be set for a battle if they are to get their man.
Isak has already represented Sweden at under-21 level, displaying frightening amounts of potential, and whoever eventually wins the race for his signature will have some player on their hands.
