Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool and Graham Potter’s Chelsea are competing with Wolverhampton Wanderers for Alexis Vega of Guadalajara, according to GiveMeSport.

Liverpool and Chelsea linked with Alexis Vega

The report has claimed that Wolves have Vega on their radar, while Real Madrid, Chelsea and Liverpool have scouted the Mexico international star as well.

GiveMeSport have claimed that although Tigres UANL are interested in him, the 24-year-old will not make a decision on his future until after he has played in the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.

The report has described Vega, who can operate as an attacking midfielder, winger or forward, as a player with “explosive pace” and has “smart skills and a good goalscoring instinct”.

Could a transfer happen?

In our view, Liverpool or Chelsea could be able to sign Alexis Vega from Guadalajara in the January transfer window.

Guadalajara are a massive club in Mexico, but they will sell one of their best players in Vega if they get a good transfer fee.

And Liverpool and Chelsea can afford to pay big.

Since Liverpool and Chelsea have already scouted Vega, it would not be a case of signing a player if he has a few good games in a knockout competition if he does well at the 2022 World Cup finals in Qatar.
