Liverpool are interested in snapping up Crystal Palace star Cheick Doucoure with another midfielder wanted at Anfield.
Cheick Doucoure could be the man for Liverpool this summer as the Reds eye up another midfield signing.
Liverpool have finally added a holding midfielder to their ranks in the last few days by signing Wataru Endo.
The Stuttgart captain has completed his move to Anfield and came off the bench for a debut against Bournemouth on Saturday.
Endo maybe isn’t the most glamorous signing a 30 years of age but he was a consistent performer and real leader for Stuttgart.
Liverpool may still want one more option in a holding midfield role though – one with some Premier League experience.
The Reds went for Moises Caicedo and Romeo Lavia but saw both of them choose to join Chelsea instead.
Liverpool could turn elsewhere amid links to the likes of Joao Palhinha and even Mario Lemina, but Cheick Doucoure seems to be high on the list.

Liverpool could move for ‘extraordinary’ Cheick Doucoure
Even after agreeing a deal to sign Endo, The Guardian claimed that Liverpool want Crystal Palace star Doucoure as a ‘primary target’.
Doucoure joined Palace in a deal worth around £21million last summer having impressed with Lens.
Doucoure was very highly rated in France with former Sunderland man Eric Roy offering up a resounding verdict.

Roy suggested that Doucoure was ‘one of the best’ holding midfielders in French football and is simply ‘extraordinary’ in terms of his football IQ.
Roy added that ‘you can’t go wrong’ with signing a player like Doucoure as he has a ‘great mentality’ and a real ability to recover possession.
That sounds like exactly what Liverpool want, with Doucoure offering a Premier League-ready option whilst still having huge potential at just 23.
Palace will of course want huge money for Doucoure, so Liverpool will have to dig deep – but he could be the man for Jurgen Klopp after signing Endo.
