The Reds defender scored as the Premier League side overcame Porto in the Champions League quarter-finals.

Liverpool made relatively light work of reaching the Champions League semi-finals as they followed up their 2-0 first-leg win over Porto with a 4-1 triumph at the Estadio do Dragao on Wednesday night.
Although the Primeira Liga side began brightly on home turf, the Reds went on to break the deadlock on 26 minutes when Sadio Mane slid home after Mohaned Salah’s scuffed shot, a goal which was given the green light by VAR.
Salah then struck after the break following a superb counter-attack and, even though Eder Militao halved the deficit for the hosts, close-range headers from Robero Firmino and Virgil van Dijk ensured a comfortable end to the game.
The Netherlands international took to Twitter on Thursday and posted a brief two-word message (plus a hashtag and emojis):
Given just how good Van Dijk has been for Liverpool in the 15 months since his move from Southampton, some Reds faithful could not resist paying him compliments:
Up next for Jurgen Klopp’s side is a return to Premier League action, with a trip to relegation-battling Cardiff City on Sunday, and five days later they host Championship-bound Huddersfield Town.
