While analysing Spurs’ defending, Arsenal legend Henry made a note on how Liverpool central defender Van Dijk defends.

“You don’t have to always win the ball back to defend well. Van Dijk is one of the best at doing that. Do not dive in.”
World-class defender

Van Dijk plays with grace, reads the game well, and does not go into tackles and challenges without making sure that he will do them.
