How the 2016/17 Premier League table would look if all Mark Lawrenson’s predictions had been correct, with Liverpool unbeaten and Tottenham down in fifth.
Mark Lawrenson
Every week BBC pundit and former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson takes on a celebrity to predict the upcoming Premier League results.
So if every one of Lawro’s predictions came true, how would his final table compare to the actual one?

The 59-year-old does have some obvious advantages here compared to those that make full predictions at the start of the season, because he can adjust his based on form.
However, there are still some hilarious final outcomes from Lawrenson, who does admittedly have Chelsea winning the title, Manchester City finishing third and Manchester United down in sixth.
Level with the Blues on 92 points at the top of the pile are Liverpool; and not only that but Lawro has them going unbeaten all term, not once predicting his former team would lose.

He also has Leicester City to finish a whopping 24 points ahead of Everton in seventh (they were actually 12th, 15 points below the seventh-placed Toffees), while relegated Sunderland are 14th in his table with ten more points than they actually achieved.
Tottenham Hotspur, who finished second in reality, are fifth in Lawrenson’s table behind Arsenal – who actually finished fifth themselves.
Here are how his predictions look in full:
