Three Liverpool players are left with uncertain futures.

Lazar Markovic of Liverpool at Ewood Park on July 19, 2018 in Blackburn, England.

Liverpool were decisive in the transfer window when it came to signing their top transfer targets.

When it came to selling or loaning the players on the fringes of the team they were more unsuccessful.

One player they managed to successfully offload was Danny Ings to Southampton, and he has enjoyed an impressive start at the club.

This will heighten the frustration for three Liverpool players who failed to land similar moves.

One of these was attacker Lazar Markovic, a perennial loanee and a holdover from Brendan Rodgers’ time at the club.

Liverpool tried to sell him to Anderlecht for just £2.9 million, Goal reported, before the move fell through at the last minute.

This is potentially disastrous for Markovic who has no future at Anfield, and is left wondering when he will next play a competitive game.

Divock Origi of Liverpool at Ewood Park on July 19, 2018 in Blackburn, England.

He is not the only one, with Divock Origi left on the shelf.

Another Brendan Rodgers’ signing, Origi had a poor loan spell at Wolfsburg last season.

There was interest in Origi but The Mirror reported Liverpool wanted £27 million for him. Unsurprisingly he was left at Liverpool.

Another striker left battling for his future is Dominic Solanke, who has struggled to make an impact since signing at Anfield.

A loan move did not materialise for him and he must now compete with a rejuvenated Daniel Sturridge to pick up the limited minutes available to back-ups.

All three have very little prospects of earning playing time and will be regretting not managing to land a summer move of any kind.
