Liverpool defender Trent Alexander-Arnold thinks the club may have a ‘once in a generation’ player on their hands in Ibrahima Konate.
With Liverpool suffering numerous defensive injuries last season, the Reds had to dip into the transfer market with a big move for Konate.
Liverpool paid a huge £36million fee to sign Konate from RB Leipzig having seen him show huge potential over in the Bundesliga.
Konate is likely to be the future of Liverpool’s defence and will surely take over from Joel Matip one day.
Currently 22, Konate has only started seven Premier League games this season as Jurgen Klopp brings him into the side gradually.
Fans are excited for Konate’s future at Anfield, and EA Sports are seemingly in the same boat.
FIFA Ultimate Team is currently running a ‘Future Stars’ promo, giving out boosted cards to players they think will one day become world stars.
Konate has been included in this promo, receiving a huge 89 overall card that will set you back almost 300,000 coins as things stand.
For those that don’t play FIFA Ultimate Team, that makes Konate one of the most in-demand centre back cards in the game.
Trent Alexander-Arnold received a Future Stars card for FIFA 19, and the pair have been discussing the subject for LFC TV.

Konate received enormous praise from Alexander-Arnold, who claims that the Frenchman has the potential to be amazing in the future.
Alexander-Arnold added that he even thinks Konate will be a once in a generation player, seemingly seeing truly elite traits in the defender – and Jurgen Klopp will be desperate for Konate to live up to that billing.
“He’s got the potential to be amazing,” said Alexander-Arnold. “I’m able to see the boy every single day in training, in games and play with him.”
“I know that he can reach whatever level he wants to if he works hard enough. It’s a chance to be a once in a generation player for me, he’s got that potential,” he added.
