Danny Murphy says Liverpool transfer target, Matheus Nunes, reminds him of Tottenham Hotspur favourite, Mousa Dembele because of how he glides across the pitch.
The Liverpool legend played alongside Mousa Dembele during his days at Fulham, before he wowed the crowds at Tottenham and then he had to leave in 2019 for China because of injury issues.
Well, with Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool struggling all over the shop, including in the middle of the park, they are looking at various names to come in during the summer, including Wolves star, Matheus Nunes.

Liverpool fans would have heard the reports emerging recently that they have decided to pull out of the race to sign Jude Bellingham – it’s a call Jurgen Klopp is seemingly on board with.
When Danny Murphy was discussing possible options for the Reds, instead of Bellingham, he spoke about Nunes and his qualities, as he told talkSPORT.
“He’s more of an attacking player, isn’t he?!” said Murphy. “He can glide past people. He is probably one of the few players I can think of who can go past players so comfortably. A bit like Mousa Dembele.
“Since Mousa Dembele left Tottenham and went to China. I haven’t seen too many midfielders that can glide past people with that power and smoothness.”

NUNES WOULD BE A TOP SIGNING
Some may look at the 24-year-old and question why Liverpool will be looking to sign a player that is battling relegation.
But, in previous years, from Gini Wijnaldum to Andy Robertson, those players that have been relegated have been the ones who have thrived on Merseyside.
So, Liverpool shouldn’t shy away from pushing for Nunes’ signature because his ability to command a midfield is very much needed at Anfield for next season.
