A round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool.
Liverpool are preparing for their Champions League qualifying clash with Hoffenheim, and are continuing to deal with the saga surrounding Philippe Coutinho’s future.
The Reds saw Coutinho submit a transfer request last week in a bid to force a move to Barcelona, with the Brazilian playmaker left out of the squad to take on Watford in Saturday’s 3-3 draw, as he was allegedly suffering from a back injury.

Now, as reported by BBC Sport, Coutinho has been left out of Liverpool’s squad to take on Hoffenheim, again due to injury – though fans will again wonder whether he’s really being omitted due to his transfer request.
If Coutinho does leave, Liverpool will need a replacement, and The Mirror report that the Reds are not only considering Napoli’s Lorenzo Insigne, but also German duo Julian Brandt and Max Meyer.
Bayer Leverkusen star Brandt, 21, has impressed in the Bundesliga and hit three goals and eight assists last season, with the 10-cap German international attracting major interest – and Klopp is now believing to be considering him as a possible replacement for Coutinho out wide.
Meanwhile, Schalke playmaker Meyer could move on this summer given that his contract expires next summer, though the 21-year-old endured a tough season last year, notching just one goal and one assist in the Bundesliga, meaning he would be something of a gamble for Klopp.

Elsewhere, The Guardian claim that Liverpool are eyeing up midfielders as alternatives to RB Leipzig star Naby Keita having been priced out of a move for the Guinean international, and Nice maestro Jean Seri has allegedly emerged as a target.
Seri, 26, starred for Nice last season with seven goals and nine assists, and the Ivorian international could be the ideal alternative to Keita, especially at the reported price of £34million. With contact made between the two clubs, Liverpool could now be in the box seat to sign Arsenal and Spurs target Seri before the transfer deadline.
