A round-up of the latest transfer news surrounding Liverpool.
Much of Liverpool’s summer has surrounded the pursuit of RB Leipzig midfielder Naby Keita – and they aren’t done on that front just yet.
The Reds have had a host of bids rejected for Keita, with The Guardian reporting last week that a £66million offer from Jurgen Klopp’s men had been snubbed by the Bundesliga outfit.
RB Leipzig’s Naby Keita
The 22-year-old Guinean is a vital part of the Leipzig side that finished second in the Bundesliga last season, having hit eight goals and seven assists in 31 league games since arriving from Red Bull Salzburg last summer.
Leipzig want to keep hold of Keita despite suggestions that he wants to leave, and the situation almost reached boiling point earlier this week, when Keita injured team-mate Diego Demme, with some speculating that it’s down to his frustration at not being allowed to join Liverpool.
Now, The Mirror report that Liverpool are set to make one last move for Keita in the coming days, with a bid worth more than £70million believed to be imminent after Keita allegedly told his advisors to work on a deal.
Whilst Liverpool are focusing on signing Keita, speculation surrounds the future of Reds star Philippe Coutinho, with Barcelona understood to be interested.

Coutinho’s compatriot and international team-mate Neymar could leave Barca for Paris Saint-Germain in the coming weeks, and Coutinho is understood to be their top choice to replace him in a big-money deal.
However, the Daily Mail report that Coutinho has not asked to leave Liverpool this summer, after rejecting Barca’s first bid for the playmaker, whilst suggestions of a part-exchange deal involving midfielder Ivan Rakitic are also thought to be wide of the mark.
